I originally created this as a study for the foreground of The Letter of Marque and was so pleased with the layout that I just kept going. It is drawn in India ink using a Pitt artist pen by Faber Castell. The pen and ink stippling technique was a favorite of mine as a teen age artist, which I've recently rediscovered.
